Kings

Guard Dennis Schroder said the approaching trade deadline has no impact on his focus, despite a career that has already taken him through multiple organizations. “I always give everything for whoever I’m playing for,” Schroder told KCRA’s Sean Cunningham, adding that he plays “for myself first, for my family and then for the organization.”

Sacramento also received encouraging injury news. An MRI on rookie center Maxime Raynaud’s left leg revealed no structural damage, a source told The Sacramento Bee’s Jason Anderson. Raynaud had to be helped off the court late in Friday’s game after a collision, but early evaluations suggest the Kings avoided a worst-case scenario.

Lakers

Forward Jake LaRavia took advantage of a starting opportunity created by Rui Hachimura’s injury, pouring in 11 points in the first quarter and 18 by halftime during Friday’s win over Memphis. He finished with 21 points and nine rebounds, his first 20-point outing since early November. “Some nights this is what happens,” LaRavia said, explaining that his role can shift from scoring to defending or “connecting” depending on team needs.

Los Angeles acquired LaRavia for his shooting and defensive versatility, but his scoring output has fluctuated this season. He continues working to regain consistency from beyond the arc.

Warriors

Golden State coach Steve Kerr said he is not worried about center Quinten Post’s dip in three-point percentage during his second NBA season. “It’s all part of being a young player,” Kerr told The San Francisco Chronicle’s Sam Gordon. “The game has to slow down. You have to feel that calm and confidence.”

The Warriors view the shooting slump as a normal step in Post’s development rather than a cause for concern.
