SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Kings have yet to clarify forward DeMar DeRozan’s future with the club. After the team’s eighth consecutive loss on Thursday, DeRozan acknowledged he was uncertain about what lies ahead. During media availability following Saturday’s victory in Denver, interim head coach Doug Christie told The Sacramento Bee that he regularly discusses business matters with every player, noting the difficulty of the approaching trade deadline and emphasizing that all possibilities remain on the table.

Suns

PHOENIX — Guard Jalen Green will miss Monday’s game against his former Houston teammates because of a hamstring injury that has lingered since training camp. Despite the setback, Green said he is committed to uplifting the roster from the bench. “I’m a leader of this team. My voice is important. Energy is important, too,” he told The Arizona Republic. The Suns hope the third-year guard can return soon and appreciate the boost he continues to provide from the sidelines.

Lakers

LOS ANGELES — LeBron James’ return to the starting lineup on Tuesday pushed Marcus Smart to a reserve role, limiting the veteran guard to a season-low 17 minutes. Smart said he is comfortable adapting to any assignment. “I like to think of myself as a Swiss Army knife,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “People come back, people get hurt. You have to adjust to whatever the game is calling for.”
