Salt Lake City, New York and Minneapolis — With NBA training camps set to open in one week, several clubs are still finalizing rosters:

Jazz holding onto Kevin Love for now

League sources told The Stein Line that Utah and veteran forward Kevin Love have not engaged in serious buyout talks. The 35-year-old has stated his preference to join a contender, but no post-buyout destination has materialized. As a result, multiple executives expect Love to report to Jazz camp unless a late agreement is reached.

Knicks schedule trio of workouts

The New York Knicks will bring in former Lakers centers Alex Len and Trey Jemison III, along with guard Dennis Smith Jr., for workouts, according to the New York Post. Smith has been a free agent since leaving Real Madrid in February.

New York can carry 21 players in camp and currently has 12 standard roster spots filled. Second-round pick Mohamed Diawara is expected to receive a standard contract, while Kevin McCullar Jr. holds a two-way qualifying offer.

Veterans Malcolm Brogdon, Landry Shamet and Garrison Mathews are already in camp on non-guaranteed deals. Because of apron restrictions, only one can remain without the Knicks shedding salary via trade.

Timberwolves add Johnny Juzang

Minnesota officially signed guard Johnny Juzang to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract. The 24-year-old averaged 8.9 points in 19.8 minutes over 64 games for Utah last season, shooting 42.9 percent from the field, 37.6 percent from three and 84.9 percent at the line. Despite his offensive efficiency, he posted one of the roster’s lowest defensive ratings on a Jazz team that finished last in defense.

The Timberwolves now have 16 players under contract and remain able to add two-way deals before camp opens.
