The NBA’s ongoing exploration of adding franchises in Las Vegas and Seattle, along with launching an NBA Europe offshoot, could collectively generate more than $20 billion for current owners, Sportico reported.

Projected expansion fees for the two U.S. markets are estimated at roughly $15 billion, while a European venture is expected to deliver another $5 billion. Because expansion income is not classified as basketball‐related revenue, the money would not be shared with players. If both initiatives move forward, each ownership group could receive about $650 million.

Project B global league gaining traction

The Athletic noted fresh momentum behind “Project B,” a proposed worldwide league linked to prominent agent Misko Raznatovic and Maverick Carter, longtime business partner of LeBron James. Agreements are already in place with multiple women’s players, and organizers are now targeting male athletes, including current and former NBA talent and elite international prospects.

Richaun Holmes departs Panathinaikos

Veteran center Richaun Holmes and Panathinaikos mutually agreed to part ways after one season, the Greek club announced. The 10-year NBA veteran missed time with an MCL injury and saw limited minutes upon returning, finishing EuroLeague play with averages of 7.9 points and 4.3 rebounds.

Recent transaction grades

ESPN’s Zach Kram ranked notable roster moves since last offseason, placing the Charlotte Hornets’ selection of Kon Knueppel at No. 4 overall atop the “best” list. On the “worst” side, the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to waive and stretch Damian Lillard in order to sign Myles Turner was among the lowest-rated moves.
