Milwaukee Bucks
Trade rumors involving Giannis Antetokounmpo have resurfaced, but several front-office officials around the league expect any decisive movement to wait until the offseason, The Athletic’s Sam Amick reported. Executives cited greater summer cap flexibility, clearer draft-pick inventories and reset rosters as reasons a blockbuster deal would be easier after the 2023-24 campaign ends.
Amick added that the landscape could shift if Antetokounmpo formally asks out before the Feb. 5 trade deadline. For now, Milwaukee players appear to be brushing off the speculation. “At the end of the day, everyone needs to wait until Giannis says something,” guard Kevin Porter Jr. told The Athletic’s Eric Nehm, calling the latest reports “false information.”
Cleveland Cavaliers
Following a five-day break after last weekend’s loss to Golden State, Cleveland conducted what multiple sources labeled an “uncomfortable” film session on Tuesday, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. Head coach Kenny Atkinson delivered direct criticism during the review. “He just called us out,” forward De’Andre Hunter said. “He broke down exactly what we needed to do, exactly what we haven’t been good at.”
The Cavaliers are 14-11 and aiming to correct bad habits before the season progresses further.
Detroit Pistons
In a Pistons.com mailbag, Keith Langlois explored whether rookie guard Marcus Sasser can reclaim minutes, assessed Jaden Ivey’s evolving responsibilities and dismissed the likelihood of Detroit making a serious run at Lakers star Anthony Davis.
Separately, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic analyzed film to show how center Jalen Duren has positioned himself as the franchise’s second cornerstone ahead of his restricted free agency in 2026.
