The Milwaukee Bucks formally introduced guard Cam Thomas on Monday, one day after completing his signing. Thomas said the decision was driven by persistent interest from the organization. “The front office told me that they always wanted me, always called about me, been trying to get me here for years. That definitely plays a part in your decision. I really felt wanted,” he told reporters, according to The Athletic.
Thomas added that talks with head coach Doc Rivers and the chance to line up next to Giannis Antetokounmpo, whom he called “an all-time great,” solidified his choice. Milwaukee hopes Thomas’ scoring boost will help steady a roster still seeking consistency while Antetokounmpo works back toward full strength.
76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers have filled their open two-way roster spot with former first-round pick Dalen Terry, reported Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice. Terry’s hectic week included trades from the Bulls to the Knicks, then to the Pelicans, who subsequently waived him before he reached Philadelphia.
Selected 18th overall in 2022, the 6-foot-7 wing has averaged 3.5 points in limited NBA minutes. Philadelphia values his versatility and experience, and because service time is not officially logged until June 30, he remains eligible for a two-way contract the rest of this season. Terry joins Jabari Walker and MarJon Beauchamp as the club’s two-way contingent after Dominick Barlow was recently promoted to the standard roster.
Pistons
The Detroit Pistons have brought back forward Isaac Jones on a two-year two-way deal, less than a week after waiving the undrafted rookie. Jones has spent most of the season with the Motor City Cruise, producing 15.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game on better than 55 percent shooting.
Detroit’s deadline-week roster moves briefly forced the team to cut Jones, but his spot reopened once veteran Dario Šarić was waived and guard Daniss Jenkins was converted to a standard contract. Jones now shares two-way slots with Tolu Smith and Wendell Moore Jr.
