Cleveland, Denver and Boston completed a series of roster moves ahead of the regular season, according to the NBA’s official transaction log and local reports.

Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers released rookie guard Zeke Mayo, clearing the way for him to join their G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge. Mayo had signed an Exhibit 10 contract earlier in the week.

The 6-foot-4 guard spent last season at Kansas after transferring from South Dakota State, where he was named 2024 Summit League Player of the Year. He averaged 14.6 points and 4.8 rebounds for the Jayhawks while shooting 42.2 percent from three-point range.

Mayo is expected to sign a G League contract and will be eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300 if he remains with the Charge for at least 60 days.

Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets waived center Moses Brown and forward Kessler Edwards, both of whom were in camp on Exhibit 10 deals, the Denver Gazette reported.

Brown, 26, appeared in 13 NBA games last season with the Pacers and Mavericks and spent the rest of the year in the G League. The Grand Rapids Gold, Denver’s affiliate, recently acquired his returning rights; he is expected to report there once he clears waivers. The 7-footer has played for seven NBA teams since entering the league in 2019.

Celtics

The Boston Celtics finalized their preseason roster by waiving Hason Ward and Aaron Scott, and by signing and immediately waiving RJ Luis. All three players are projected to join the Maine Celtics in the G League and could each earn a bonus of up to $85,300 for spending 60 days with the club.

Boston now has 14 players on standard contracts—12 fully guaranteed and two partially guaranteed—and all three two-way slots filled. The team is not expected to add a 15th player because of its proximity to the luxury-tax threshold.
