Utah forward Lauri Markkanen is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s matchup with Orlando as the Jazz continue to manage a right groin issue. The 28-year-old is averaging a career-best 27.8 points along with 7.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steal while shooting .469/.352/.893 across 24 games.

Rookie big man Kyle Filipowski started in Markkanen’s place during Thursday’s loss to the Lakers and would likely remain in the opening lineup if Markkanen sits again.

Additional injury notes around the league

Mavericks: Center Anthony Davis fought through an illness and a left calf contusion in Thursday’s overtime win at Detroit, recording 15 points, 18 rebounds and three blocks in 37 minutes. Davis said he vomited twice during the game but returned after missing one contest with the calf issue.

Lakers: Guards Austin Reaves (left calf strain) and Deandre Ayton (left elbow soreness) remain out for Saturday’s game against the Clippers. Forward Rui Hachimura is listed as questionable with right groin soreness.

Grizzlies: Memphis will be without nine players Saturday in Washington. Two-way players GG Jackson II and Jahmai Mashack are on G League assignments, while seven others — including Ja Morant (left ankle sprain) and Vince Williams Jr. (left knee soreness) — are sidelined by injuries.

Hornets: Guard Tre Mann, out for the past seven games with a right knee bone bruise, is probable to return Saturday in Detroit. Pat Connaughton (right calf strain) is questionable, and Collin Sexton is doubtful due to a left quad strain.
