The Dallas Mavericks are expected to remain short on big men for at least one more outing. The club listed Anthony Davis as doubtful for Friday’s home game against the Memphis Grizzlies, while rookie Dereck Lively II will miss a sixth consecutive contest, according to The Athletic’s Christian Clark.

Davis has sat out the last three games after leaving the Oct. 29 meeting with Indiana in the opening quarter. Before the injury, he was averaging 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals, but Dallas went just 1-3 in the four full games he played. Lively, limited to three appearances this season, is averaging 5.3 points, 5.0 boards and 3.0 assists in a career-low 17.0 minutes per night. The Mavericks enter Friday with the Western Conference’s worst record at 2-6.

Warriors

Stephen Curry will sit out Golden State’s NBA Cup opener Friday in Denver because of an illness contracted on the team’s recent road trip, ESPN’s Anthony Slater reports. Curry began feeling symptoms ahead of Tuesday’s win in Phoenix and said afterward he was drained during the second half. He will stay in the Bay Area to prepare for Sunday’s home game against Indiana.

Draymond Green (rib contusion) is listed as probable, and Jimmy Butler III (lower back strain) is questionable. Head coach Steve Kerr said both hope to face the Nuggets.

Lakers

Head coach JJ Redick told reporters Austin Reaves is “TBD” for Saturday’s matchup with Atlanta. The guard is working back from a groin strain and tested the injury before Wednesday’s win over San Antonio, but the medical staff chose to keep him out, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Wizards

Washington ruled out third-year wing Bilal Coulibaly for Friday’s game in Cleveland due to lower left leg tightness. Coulibaly had just returned from thumb surgery, missing the season’s first four contests. Josh Robbins of The Athletic adds that forward Khris Middleton is available after a two-game absence.

Nets

Brooklyn guard Cam Thomas will not play Friday in Detroit because of a left hamstring injury, the New York Post’s Brian Lewis reports. Rookies Nolan Traore, Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf remain out on G League assignment, while Drake Powell (ankle) has been upgraded to questionable. Terance Mann (left shoulder soreness) is listed as probable.
