LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Clippers will be without guard Bennedict Mathurin for at least three games this week because of a right big toe issue, the team confirmed Tuesday. Mathurin is ruled out for both contests in New Orleans on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as Saturday’s matchup in Dallas. The rookie had appeared in 16 straight games since his Feb. 10 debut with the Clippers.

The ailment, officially listed as “right toe injury recovery,” has bothered Mathurin since early in the season. He previously missed 11 consecutive outings in October and November while with Indiana, when the injury was described as a toe sprain.
