The Memphis Grizzlies listed second-year center Zach Edey as questionable for Saturday’s game in Cleveland, putting the 7’4” big man on track for his first appearance of the season.

Edey had ankle surgery in June and missed training camp and the preseason. Head coach Tuomas Iisalo said the club will integrate him gradually but expects the former Purdue star to boost rim protection and rebounding alongside Jaren Jackson Jr. Memphis has dropped seven of its last eight games and sits at 4-9.

Point guard Ja Morant, who sat out Wednesday in Boston with a right ankle issue, is cleared to play Saturday. Rookie wing Cedric Coward is doubtful because of right foot soreness.

Additional injury notes

New Orleans Pelicans: Guard Jordan Poole (mild left quad strain) will miss at least one more week before another evaluation. The 26-year-old is in his first season with the Pelicans after arriving from Washington.

Oklahoma City Thunder: Forward Luguentz Dort has been upgraded to questionable for Saturday at Charlotte after missing five games with a right upper trapezius strain. The 26-year-old could enter free agency next summer if Oklahoma City declines his $18.2 million team option for 2026/27.

Houston Rockets: Forward Tari Eason sustained a right hip contusion Friday against Portland and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. The 24-year-old, averaging 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds, is on track for restricted free agency in July.

Philadelphia 76ers: Forward Kelly Oubre Jr. exited Friday’s loss in Detroit with a hyperextended left knee and did not return. The 29-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
