All across the NBA, Wednesday’s 5 p.m. ET guarantee deadline came and went without a single player on a standard non-guaranteed contract being released, officially locking in deals for the rest of the 2023-24 season.
Teams had until the late-afternoon cutoff to waive players and avoid guaranteeing the remaining salary. Front offices largely chose roster certainty over cap flexibility; the only recent moves occurred earlier in the week, when Indiana let go of Tony Bradley and Toronto parted ways with Mo Bamba. Bradley later returned to the Pacers on a fresh contract.
