DENVER — Jamal Murray drilled a career-best 10 three-pointers and poured in 37 points as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Utah Jazz, 130-117, on Tuesday night. The guard buried five triples in the opening quarter, including a half-court buzzer-beater, helping Denver race to a 12-0 start with its first six field goals all coming from long range.
Nikola Jokić recorded his fifth triple-double in six games, finishing with 15 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists. Cameron Johnson added 19 points, eight boards and six assists, while Christian Braun supplied 18 points. The victory stretched Denver’s winning streak to seven.
Rockets 119, Bucks 113
HOUSTON — Rookie guard Reed Sheppard erupted for 27 points and connected on nine three-pointers, powering the Houston Rockets past the Milwaukee Bucks, 119-113. Alperen Şengün contributed 25 points, Kevin Durant had 19 points and nine assists, and Amen Thompson tallied 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Houston racked up 30 assists on 41 made shots, forced 15 turnovers and converted those mistakes into 18 points, earning its fourth consecutive win.
Pacers 145, Bulls 126
INDIANAPOLIS — Pascal Siakam scored 25 points as the Indiana Pacers set a season high in scoring during a 145-126 triumph over the Chicago Bulls. Ethan Thompson added 24 points, and both Kobe Brown and Jay Huff finished with 17.
The Pacers improved to 18-58, moving out of the Eastern Conference cellar with the offensive outburst.
