Greek club Olympiacos is in advanced negotiations to add veteran NBA guard Monte Morris on a one-year contract, Eurohoops.net reporter Michalis Stefanou reported on December 9.
Team officials are reportedly confident that an agreement with the 30-year-old floor general can be finalized in the near future.
Morris became an unrestricted free agent on November 21, when the Indiana Pacers waived him after just six appearances in which he averaged 10.8 minutes per game. Indiana had signed the guard two weeks earlier, intending to give him a look during the regular season. The Pacers had originally targeted Morris for training camp, but a late-September calf injury halted those plans.
During the 2024-25 NBA season, Morris played 45 games for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 5.2 points, 1.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 12.7 minutes while shooting 42.6 percent from the field, 36.0 percent from three and 82.6 percent from the foul line.
The former Iowa State standout has also suited up for the Nuggets, Pistons and Timberwolves since entering the league in 2017.
If a deal is completed, Morris would join a roster that already features ex-NBA players Frank Ntilikina, Saben Lee and Evan Fournier.
