Free-agent wing Matt Ryan has reached an agreement with Dubai Basketball, the club announced on November 13, 2025.
The 28-year-old sharpshooter spent the past four seasons in the NBA, appearing in 82 games for the Celtics, Lakers, Timberwolves, Pelicans, and Knicks between 2022 and 2025. He averaged 3.7 points and 0.9 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per contest while hitting 40.2% of his three-point attempts (80-for-199).
Ryan also showcased his perimeter scoring in the G League, converting 39.8% of his shots from deep on 8.4 attempts per game across 53 appearances.
This fall, the 6-foot-7 wing attended Knicks training camp on an Exhibit 10 deal but did not secure a roster spot. Rather than return to the G League, he opted to continue his career overseas.
Dubai Basketball is competing in the EuroLeague for the first time and already features several former NBA players, including Dwayne Bacon, Filip Petrusev, Mfiondu Kabengele, McKinley Wright IV, and Dzanan Musa.
