Guard Mason Jones is finalizing a contract with the Perth Wildcats of Australia’s National Basketball League, ESPN’s Olgun Uluc reported on September 5.

The 6’4” scorer finished the 2024/25 campaign on a two-way deal with the Sacramento Kings after going undrafted out of Arkansas in 2020. Jones has appeared in 51 NBA regular-season games with Houston, Philadelphia, the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento, averaging 4.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 9.0 minutes while shooting .427/.329/.663.

Signed by the Kings to a two-year, two-way contract in February 2024, the 27-year-old excelled for Sacramento’s G League affiliate in Stockton last season. In 27 outings he posted 23.6 points, 7.9 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game on .492/.447/.790 shooting. Those numbers earned him All-NBAGL Second Team honors and the Most Valuable Player award in the G League Finals as Stockton captured the 2025 championship.

Jones’ résumé also includes a stint with Turkey’s Darüşşafaka in 2023.

Perth had been weighing several NBA veterans for its final import slot, with guards Kobi Simmons and Yuri Collins among those recently considered. The Wildcats went 18-11 last season before falling to Melbourne United in the NBL semifinals.
