Free-agent guard Jalen Crutcher has joined the Orlando Magic on an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel. The agreement was reached on October 6, 2025, at 6:27 p.m. CST.
Orlando announced Crutcher’s signing, along with the earlier waiver of fellow Exhibit 10 guard Johnell Davis, in a statement released on social media at 6:30 p.m. CST. With Crutcher in camp, the Magic return to the 21-player limit permitted during training camp.
College and G League Background
Crutcher, 25, was a three-time All-Atlantic 10 selection at Dayton before going undrafted in 2021. He began his professional career that fall with the Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets’ G League affiliate.
His G League rights were traded to the Birmingham Squadron prior to the 2023-24 season. In February 2024, he signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, appearing in one NBA game for 2.7 minutes before returning to Birmingham. New Orleans later gave him a two-way deal during the 2024-25 campaign but waived him in March.
Path Forward in Orlando
If the Magic release Crutcher and he spends at least 60 days with their G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic, he would qualify for a bonus of up to $85,300 under Exhibit 10 rules.
