The NBA’s annual game of musical chairs has altered the league’s seniority chart. A review completed on September 2, 2025, identifies the player who has been with each franchise the longest, based on uninterrupted tenure.
Key changes since last year
Karl-Anthony Towns (Timberwolves), Myles Turner (Pacers) and De’Aaron Fox (Kings) all switched teams, ending stays that began with their respective draft nights. Chicago, Portland, Toronto and Utah also crowned new leaders after parting with Zach LaVine, Anfernee Simons, Chris Boucher and Jordan Clarkson.
Golden State remains the outlier. Stephen Curry—a Warrior since June 2009—enters his 17th season with the club, the longest active run in the league.

What’s next
