Kawhi Leonard poured in 31 points in 12 minutes on Sunday night, powering Team Stripes to a 48–45 victory over Team World at Intuit Dome and securing a berth in the NBA All-Star title game against Team Stars.
The Los Angeles Clippers forward hit 11 of 13 shots and went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc, transforming what began as an exhibition into a tense finish. His scoring surge provided nearly two-thirds of Stripes’ total offense.
Team World stayed close behind rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama’s 19 points on efficient shooting. Jamal Murray added eight points and four assists, while Pascal Siakam chipped in six, but the trio could not match Leonard’s decisive run.
LeBron James and Kevin Durant offered complementary roles for Stripes, and Jalen Brunson drained a pair of three-pointers to keep the squad in control down the stretch.
The revamped All-Star format, now three games old, continues to inject playoff-style urgency, setting the stage for one more showdown between Stripes and Stars.
