The Los Angeles Lakers remain active in the market for additional wing depth, with Golden State Warriors swingman Andrew Wiggins and an unnamed Miami Heat forward both repeatedly linked to the team, according to multiple reports.

Lakers

On the latest episode of the “Buha’s Block” podcast, beat writer Jovan Buha said the Lakers would likely need to include a future first-round pick to pry the Heat forward away from Miami. Buha added that a proposed package centered on rookie guard Dalton Knecht, forward Rui Hachimura and guard Gabe Vincent “probably wouldn’t be enough” to convince the Heat to make a deal.

Wiggins’ name also continues to circulate as Los Angeles evaluates ways to strengthen its perimeter rotation ahead of the trade deadline.

Suns

The Phoenix Suns re-signed forward Nigel Hayes-Davis in July on a one-year contract, giving the 29-year-old another NBA opportunity after seven seasons overseas. In a feature for The Athletic, Doug Haller detailed the former Wisconsin standout’s journey back to the league.

“Is it the one I thought about as a child growing up? Of course not,” Hayes-Davis told The Athletic. “But it’s been fantastic.”

Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers and star forward Kawhi Leonard remain under NBA scrutiny regarding Leonard’s unpaid endorsement arrangement with the now-defunct green bank Aspiration. ESPN’s Shwetha Surendran examined the company’s business model and its list of high-profile investors as the league investigates whether the deal violated salary-cap rules.

The NBA has not announced a timeline for its review of the Leonard-Aspiration partnership.
