LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Lakers have notified season-ticket holders that prices will rise by at least 14 percent for the 2026-27 campaign, marking the first major business move since the franchise’s change in ownership.

Renewal emails sent this week outline the increases and add a new 3 percent administrative fee for customers who do not pay the full balance up front. Multiple fans shared the notices publicly, including details of tighter payment plans that no longer offer the five- or nine-month options previously available without penalties.

One longtime account holder reported that five upper-bowl seats priced at roughly $15,000 last season now cost $22,000 for the same locations, a jump of about 47 percent. Other supporters posted screenshots showing hikes of 25, 30 and even 67 percent, depending on the section.

The adjustments mirror owner Mark Walters’s approach with Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers, where sustained on-field investment was followed by steady ticket-price growth. Team officials have not publicly commented on the Lakers’ new pricing structure.

The 2026-27 season will be the first for the Lakers under the updated rate schedule at Crypto.com Arena.
