The Los Angeles Lakers have signed center Kylor Kelley to a training-camp contract, the team announced on Monday.
The addition fills the Lakers’ offseason roster at 21 players, the maximum allowed for camp. Contract terms were not disclosed.
Kelley, 27, split last season between the NBA and the G League. He appeared in 11 NBA games—two of them starts—with the New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks, averaging 3.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 11.5 minutes. His first NBA start came with Dallas on Feb. 2 in Cleveland, where he posted a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double.
The 7-footer spent part of the 2024-25 preseason with the Lakers on an Exhibit 10 deal before being waived and assigned to the South Bay Lakers. In 32 G League games (27 starts), he recorded 11.5 points on 68.2 percent shooting, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.4 blocks across 26.7 minutes.
Kelley signed a two-way contract with Dallas in January and was released in early March. He then inked two 10-day agreements with New Orleans in April under the hardship exception.
Beyond the NBA and G League, the Oregon State product has played professionally in England (2021-22), Denmark (2022-23) and Canada (2022-23).
