Los Angeles — The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are reportedly keeping an eye on any future opportunity to acquire Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, according to Hoops Wire.
The report indicates that both franchises would be prepared to explore a pursuit of the two-time MVP should circumstances in Milwaukee change and the Bucks become willing to discuss a deal. No formal trade talks are currently underway, and Antetokounmpo remains under contract with the Bucks.
Milwaukee has publicly maintained its commitment to building around the 28-year-old star, while the Lakers and Celtics are described only as teams that would have interest if the All-NBA forward ever became available.
Antetokounmpo averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists last season while leading the Bucks to the top record in the Eastern Conference.
