The New York Knicks secured the 2025 NBA Cup on Tuesday night, rallying past the San Antonio Spurs, 124-113, in the tournament final.

Who & What: Point guard Jalen Brunson earned Most Valuable Player honors after guiding New York to its inaugural in-season tournament championship.

Key Numbers: Brunson scored 25 points with eight assists and four rebounds in 41 minutes, shooting 11-for-27 and committing four turnovers. A 20-member media panel awarded him 19 of 20 MVP votes, with forward OG Anunoby receiving the remaining ballot following his 29-point, nine-rebound effort on 11-of-17 shooting.

Turning Point: San Antonio led by 11 with a little more than two minutes left in the third quarter before New York’s bench shifted momentum. Center Mitchell Robinson collected 15 rebounds—10 on the offensive glass—in 18 minutes, while guard Tyler Kolek added 14 points, five rebounds and five assists in 20 minutes. Jordan Clarkson chipped in 15 points over 27 minutes.

They Said It: “Without them, we don’t win this,” Brunson said, crediting Anunoby, Robinson, Kolek and Clarkson for the comeback.

Spurs Highlight: Rookie guard Dylan Harper paced San Antonio with 21 points and matched a team-high seven rebounds.

The victory delivers New York its first trophy under the league’s in-season tournament format.
