The New York Knicks’ seven-game winning streak ended Friday night with a 104-95 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, a game highlighted by OG Anunoby’s rare off performance and Mitchell Robinson’s encouraging progress at the free-throw line.

Anunoby struggles on both ends
Anunoby finished with just two points on 1-for-9 shooting and had a limited defensive impact. Head coach Mike Brown said the forward’s aggressive drives did not translate into foul calls. “OG is a big, strong guy. When he drives, he’s trying to attack the rim. He’s getting rerouted on his drive, but he can’t seem to get a call,” Brown told reporters.

Kolek’s tough night off the bench
Rookie guard Tyler Kolek, coming off several strong outings, also regressed. In 15 minutes, he recorded two points, two assists, four turnovers and fouled out with five personals.

Robinson tweaks free-throw routine
Center Mitchell Robinson, long known for his free-throw woes, hit 7 of 8 attempts after adjusting his mechanics earlier in the day. “We’ve just been working on a lot of arc,” Robinson said. “Getting my elbow under it, getting it up in the air. It feels way more comfortable.” The new routine was finalized during a 10 a.m. workout.

Schedule catches up with Knicks
Friday’s defeat came less than 24 hours after the Knicks captured an NBA Cup victory in Indianapolis while playing shorthanded. Brown acknowledged the quick turnaround but reiterated the club’s no-excuse approach. “We try to pride ourselves on being a no-excuse team. Tonight we didn’t have it,” he said.

McBride still sidelined
Guard Miles McBride (sprained ankle) has resumed on-court work but has not practiced since Monday. The Knicks have not held a full practice or shootaround since that day.
