The New York Knicks have reached a two-way agreement with forward Dillon Jones, reporter Michael Scotto of HoopsHype said Tuesday.
Jones, 6’5”, was the 26th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder and earned a championship ring as a rookie. He averaged 10.2 minutes across 54 regular-season appearances and logged 10 brief postseason stints during the Thunder’s title run.
Oklahoma City sent Jones to the Washington Wizards in a salary-dump trade during the 2025 offseason. Washington waived him at the end of preseason, after which he entered the G League draft. The Rip City Remix selected him first overall in October, and he has spent the first half of 2025-26 with Portland’s affiliate.
Through 24 games for the Remix, the 23-year-old has produced 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 1.8 steals in 37.5 minutes, shooting .428 from the field, .336 from three and .782 at the foul line.
New York had an open two-way slot after waiving Tosan Evbuomwan ahead of this month’s league-wide guarantee date, so no corresponding move is needed. Jones joins Kevin McCullar Jr. and Trey Jemison as the club’s current two-way players.
If the contract is finalized by Wednesday, league rules would allow Jones to be active for up to 24 regular-season games with the Knicks.
