Sacramento — October 10, 2025: The Sacramento Kings have reached an agreement to bring in free-agent shooting guard Mitch Mascari, according to agent George S. Langberg, who informed Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Mascari, 6’5”, captured back-to-back NCAA Division II championships with Northwest Missouri State in 2021 and 2022 before transferring to Drake for the 2024-25 season. In 35 games with the Bulldogs, he averaged 9.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals while hitting 40.3% from three-point range. He logged all 40 minutes in Drake’s first-round NCAA tournament win over Missouri, collecting four steals.

The undrafted rookie appeared in three Summer League contests for the Phoenix Suns in Las Vegas, posting 1.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 10.9 minutes per game.

Contract specifics were not disclosed, but the deal is expected to be an Exhibit 10 agreement. That structure would position Mascari with the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League and make him eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300 if he spends at least 60 days with the affiliate.

Sacramento still has open spots on its 21-man preseason roster, so no corresponding transaction is required. The signing is anticipated to become official later today, along with the previously reported addition of center Daniel Batcho, with both players expected to be waived shortly thereafter.
