The Sacramento Kings will launch the 2025-26 NBA season on the road, facing the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center on Wednesday, Oct. 22, according to KCRA reporter Sean Cunningham.
Sacramento’s home schedule starts Friday, Oct. 24, when the Utah Jazz visit Golden 1 Center. The Kings stay in Sacramento for their next game, hosting the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Former Kings head coach Mike Brown is set to return to the capital on Jan. 14 as the new leader of the New York Knicks. Brown was dismissed last December after a 13-18 opening, ending a tenure that included a 2023 playoff appearance—the franchise’s first in 16 years.
Doug Christie enters his first full season as Sacramento’s head coach, tasked with guiding the club back to the postseason after consecutive play-in tournament exits. That effort begins with the late-October trip to Phoenix.
