The Sacramento Kings have reached a two-year agreement with free-agent guard Killian Hayes, agent Yann Balikouzou told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Hayes, the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, had just finished his second consecutive 10-day contract with Sacramento, which expired Saturday night. The franchise moved quickly to keep him on the roster for the remainder of the season.
In 10 appearances during his initial 20 days with the Kings, the 24-year-old averaged 3.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.0 rebounds across 15.3 minutes per game while shooting .269 from the field, .208 from three-point range and .833 at the free-throw line. Despite the modest statistics, he posted a positive plus-minus and contributed to five victories in the team’s last 10 contests.
Specific financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal is expected to be for the league minimum. According to James Ham of The Kings Beat, the second season (2026-27) is non-guaranteed, giving Sacramento additional roster flexibility in the offseason.
Hayes fills the Kings’ 15th standard roster spot, bringing the club to the maximum as it enters the stretch run of the regular season.
