The Sacramento Kings intend to bring guard Killian Hayes in on a 10-day contract, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto. Hayes, taken seventh overall in the 2020 draft, has revived his stock in the G League with the Cleveland Charge, where the 24-year-old is averaging 23.1 points, shooting 47 percent from the floor, and adding 8.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Sacramento has one open roster spot, allowing the club to evaluate Hayes without making additional roster moves.
Pacers Still Dealing With Injuries
The Indiana Pacers will be without swingman Aaron Nesmith for at least another week as he nurses a right ankle sprain, head coach Rick Carlisle told reporters, including Forbes’ Tony East. Indiana has been hit by extended absences across the rotation this season. Forward Pascal Siakam, however, is expected to return on Sunday after a short layoff.
Sixers Rookie Suffers Knee Injury
The Philadelphia 76ers announced that rookie center Johni Broome sustained a lateral meniscus tear while playing for the G League’s Delaware Blue Coats. Medical staff are still determining the best course of treatment. Broome has yet to appear in an NBA game but has been productive in Delaware and is viewed as part of Philadelphia’s long-term plans.
