The Sacramento Kings have added swingman DaQuan Jeffries on a 10-day hardship contract, according to the NBA.com transaction log.

The hardship designation allowed Sacramento to complete the signing without waiving a player from its 15-man roster. A team qualifies for the exception when at least four players have missed three or more consecutive games due to injury or illness and are expected to remain sidelined for a minimum of two additional weeks.

Sacramento meets those requirements with Zach LaVine (hand), Domantas Sabonis (knee), DeAndre Hunter (eye) and Drew Eubanks (thumb) all ruled out for the season. Russell Westbrook (foot), Nique Clifford (foot) and Keegan Murray (ankle) are also injured, though none currently satisfy the three-game absence threshold.

Jeffries, 28, began his NBA career with Sacramento in 2019 after going undrafted out of Tulsa. The 6-foot-5 guard/forward has since appeared in 111 regular-season contests for the Kings, Rockets, Grizzlies, Knicks and Hornets from 2019-25, averaging 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 15.9 minutes while shooting .415/.315/.783.

This season, Jeffries played exclusively for the Kings’ G League affiliate in Stockton, averaging 21.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists on .506/.420/.843 shooting across 35 games.

The 10-day deal will pay Jeffries $165,197 and runs through April 4, covering Sacramento’s next five games. The Kings will incur a $131,970 cap hit.
