The Sacramento Kings have waived Jameer Nelson Jr. and Jaylin Williams, the NBA.com transaction log shows for Sept. 28, 2025.
Both players joined Sacramento last week on Exhibit 10 contracts. Such deals allow each to collect a bonus of up to $85,300 if they sign with the Stockton Kings—Sacramento’s G League affiliate—and remain there for at least 60 days.
Nelson, a 6-foot-1 guard, divided much of last season between the G League and the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). In 23 appearances with the CEBL’s Calgary Surge, he averaged 20.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 35.5 percent from three-point range.
Williams, a 6-foot-8 forward, also split time between the G League and the CEBL. He played 19 games for the Winnipeg Sea Bears, producing 9.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest.
By releasing both players, Sacramento’s training-camp roster now drops to the league-maximum 18 contracted players.
