The Los Angeles Clippers are monitoring the availability of Sacramento Kings swingman DeMar DeRozan and could pursue a deal if the Kings decide to shed veteran contracts before the Feb. 5 trade deadline, Sam Amick of The Athletic reported.

DeRozan, a six-time All-Star, is earning $24.75 million this season. His 2025-26 salary is $25.74 million, though only $10 million of that figure is guaranteed. The contract also includes incentives tied to a 2026 All-Star appearance and a Kings championship, both of which appear unlikely at the moment.

The Clippers have struggled with injuries and inconsistent play early in the season. Star forward Kawhi Leonard returned to the lineup Sunday, but guard Bradley Beal has been ruled out for the year with a fractured hip, leaving the roster in flux.

Sacramento faces its own challenges. New head of basketball operations Scott Perry has avoided labeling the situation a rebuild, though he acknowledged the team needs time to chart a new direction. Results so far have been uneven, and multiple Kings players are expected to appear in trade discussions as the deadline nears.

DeRozan is among the most notable names linked to potential moves, but Sacramento could field inquiries on additional pieces as Perry evaluates options for reshaping the roster.
