The Sacramento Kings have re-signed guard Killian Hayes to a second 10-day contract, agent Yann Balikouzou told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The agreement was also posted in the NBA.com transaction log.

Hayes’ initial 10-day deal expired Wednesday night. During that span, the 24-year-old entered five games off the bench, averaging 2.2 points and 3.4 assists in 13.0 minutes while shooting 4-for-27 from the field (14.8 percent).

The 6-5 guard spent most of his first four NBA seasons with the Detroit Pistons after being selected seventh overall in the 2020 draft. Detroit waived him late in the 2023-24 season. Since then, he has played primarily in the G League, signing a 10-day contract with Brooklyn in February 2025 and now two short-term deals with Sacramento.

With the G League’s Cleveland Charge this season, Hayes has appeared in 28 games and averaged 23.1 points, 8.3 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals while shooting 46.8 percent overall, 32.5 percent from deep and 80.0 percent at the free-throw line.

The new contract will pay Hayes $153,330, pushing his total earnings with the Kings to $306,660. Each 10-day counts $131,970 against the salary cap, for a combined charge of $263,940.

This second 10-day agreement covers Sacramento’s next five games and expires after the matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers next Saturday. NBA rules prevent a third 10-day with the same team, so the Kings must either sign Hayes for the remainder of the season or release him once the deal ends.
