Kawhi Leonard, Jaylen Brown Capture NBA Player of the Week Honors

The NBA on Monday recognized Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown as the Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, according to NBA Communications.
Leonard guided the Clippers to a 3-0 record during the period, averaging 41.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals. His week was highlighted by a career-best 55-point performance against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
Brown led Boston to a 2-1 mark while posting 32.7 points per game on 55.9% shooting and adding 6.3 rebounds per contest.
Other Western Conference nominees were Kevin Durant (Rockets), Keyonte George (Jazz), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder) and Nikola Jokić (Nuggets). Eastern Conference candidates included LaMelo Ball (Hornets), Scottie Barnes (Raptors), Cade Cunningham (Pistons), Josh Giddey (Bulls), Michael Porter Jr. (Nets) and Karl-Anthony Towns (Knicks).
