Free-agent guard Josh Christopher has signed a G League contract and will rejoin the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Miami Heat’s affiliate announced on Friday.
The Skyforce said Christopher is slated to make his first appearance of the 2025/26 season on Saturday when Sioux Falls hosts the Grand Rapids Gold, the Denver Nuggets’ affiliate.
Christopher, a 6’4″ shooting guard, entered the NBA as the No. 24 pick in the 2021 draft. He spent the entire 2024/25 campaign on a two-way deal with Miami but logged only 14 NBA games, averaging 4.9 minutes and totaling 69 minutes overall.
His primary workload last season came in Sioux Falls, where he averaged 23.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.1 steals across 36 games (35.9 minutes per game) while shooting .443 from the field, .314 from three-point range and .793 at the foul line. Those numbers earned him a spot on the All-NBA G League Third Team in April.
Now 23 and turning 24 on December 8, Christopher owns NBA career averages of 6.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 152 contests (14.4 minutes) with the Rockets and Heat. Despite his new G League agreement, he remains an unrestricted NBA free agent.
