Turkish champion Anadolu Efes has reached an agreement with guard Jordan Loyd, according to EuroHoops reporter Aris Barkas.
The move required a buyout from AS Monaco, where Loyd spent the past three seasons. The 31-year-old averaged 10.7 points in last season’s EuroLeague campaign with the French club.
Loyd appeared in 12 games for the Toronto Raptors during the 2018/19 NBA season, posting 2.4 points in 4.6 minutes per contest.
This summer, the 6’4″ guard stood out for Poland at EuroBasket, helping the national team reach the quarterfinals while compiling 22.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 42.2% shooting from beyond the arc. His performance earned him a spot on the tournament’s All-Star Second Team.
Real Madrid had previously pursued the Chattanooga native, but his Spanish league rights are controlled by Valencia, limiting Madrid’s options.
In Istanbul, Loyd will join an Anadolu Efes roster that already features former NBA players Shane Larkin, Rodrigue Beaubois, PJ Dozier, Cole Swider, Kai Jones, Georgios Papagiannis and Vincent Poirier.
