ST. PETERSBURG, Russia — Zenit BC has signed fourth-year wing Johnny Juzang to a contract covering the rest of the 2025/26 campaign, the club announced Monday.

The 24-year-old guard was waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves 10 days ago after reaching his 50-game active limit on a two-way deal. He appeared in 21 games for Minnesota this season, totaling 88 minutes and topping the 10-minute mark only once.

Juzang went undrafted in 2022 after one season at Kentucky and two at UCLA. He spent his first two NBA years on two-way contracts with Utah, then signed a multiyear standard agreement with the Jazz in August 2024. Only the first season of that deal was guaranteed, and Utah released him in June 2025.

Following his exit from the Jazz, the Los Angeles native accepted an Exhibit 10 invitation to Timberwolves training camp and earned a two-way slot with a strong preseason.

Across four NBA seasons, Juzang has played 123 games and averaged 6.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16.0 minutes while shooting 42.1 percent from the field, 35.8 percent from three and 78.5 percent at the foul line. The agreement with Zenit marks his first professional stint overseas.
