Salt Lake City, UT — Utah Jazz swingman Brice Sensabaugh says a revamped diet and offseason conditioning program helped him drop roughly 15 pounds ahead of the 2025/26 season, a change he believes is sharpening his overall game.

The 6’6” former Ohio State standout, drafted 28th overall in 2023, told RG.org’s Mark Medina he now checks in at 225–227 pounds after playing last season at about 240. “We had some boot camps and conditioning work all summer, but the biggest curve for me was my diet,” Sensabaugh said, noting he replaced sour cream with Greek yogurt and used cauliflower in place of traditional carbohydrates.

Best known for his outside shooting, the 22-year-old has hit 32.4% of his three-point attempts through 32 games, down from 42.2% a year ago. Despite the dip, Sensabaugh said he is encouraged by other areas of growth. “This season my mentality has changed a lot,” he explained. “I’ve had four or five games where I made a big impact and it translated to a win.”

Sensabaugh credited improved defensive focus and a better grasp of NBA intensity for his progress. “I’m starting to understand the attention to detail it takes to alter games,” he noted, adding that he tries not to “overreact” to missed shots and trusts his mechanics will produce results.

The guard/forward also praised Utah’s veterans and highlighted teammate Keyonte George’s breakout year during the interview. Sensabaugh becomes eligible for a rookie-scale contract extension in the 2026 offseason.
