The Utah Jazz have reached a 10-day contract agreement with free-agent center Mo Bamba, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, who cited agents Mark Bartelstein and Greer Love.

Bamba, the No. 6 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has logged 364 regular-season games across seven years with the Magic, Lakers, 76ers, Clippers and Pelicans. Unable to land a guaranteed NBA deal for 2025-26, the 27-year-old joined Utah for training camp, was waived, and then reported to the team’s G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.

With the Stars, the 7-footer averaged 17.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 27.7 minutes over 22 games while shooting 55.3 percent from the field, 38.0 percent from three and 80.7 percent at the foul line. His production earned one brief NBA look earlier this season when Toronto signed him on December 29 to bolster its frontcourt while Jakob Poeltl dealt with a back issue; the Raptors waived Bamba roughly a week later before his salary became guaranteed.

Utah’s front line has been depleted by injuries. Starting center Walker Kessler underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in November, replacement Jusuf Nurkić had season-ending nose surgery this week, Jaren Jackson Jr. is out after knee surgery to remove a growth, and Lauri Markkanen is being evaluated after getting hurt in Wednesday’s practice.

Bamba’s 10-day contract will pay him $177,064 and carry a $131,970 cap hit for the Jazz.
