Los Angeles — James Harden says there is no reason for the Los Angeles Clippers to panic, even with the team sitting at 5-13 after a 135-118 loss to the Lakers on Tuesday night.

Speaking to reporters, the veteran guard insisted the group can still find its rhythm. “What else are we going to do? Confidence comes every day when we wake up, right?” Harden said, according to Janis Carr of The Orange County Register. “We’ve got a lot of games left where we can hit a stride, but we’ve dealt with literally everything you can do from injuries to different lineup changes. We’re figuring it out.”

The Clippers begin a back-to-back set at home against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, followed by a trip to Dallas to face the Mavericks on Saturday. Both opponents have endured their own challenges early in the season, and Harden sees the two-game stretch as an opportunity to reset.

Harden has been playing through foot soreness but was not listed on Friday’s injury report, per Law Murray of The Athletic. Veteran wing Bogdan Bogdanovic will miss his fourth consecutive game with a left hip contusion.

Los Angeles enters the weekend searching for a spark, and Harden remains confident it will come.
