The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade star guard James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers, receiving Darius Garland and a future second-round draft choice in return, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday evening.

The deal, reached on February 3, 2026, sends the 10-time All-Star Harden to Cleveland after his brief stint in Los Angeles. Garland, a former All-Star himself, heads west to join a Clippers backcourt that has undergone multiple changes in recent seasons.

No additional assets were included beyond the single second-round pick, according to Charania’s report released on social media. Contract terms and the exact draft year of the pick were not immediately disclosed.

The trade remains subject to the league’s standard physical examinations before becoming official.
