Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will sit out for the fourth consecutive game on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder because of a right calf contusion, the club announced. Morant had been listed as questionable in each of the previous three contests before being ruled out on game day.

Memphis could regain some depth on the wing. Rookie Cedric Coward, sidelined since spraining his right ankle Sunday versus Los Angeles, is questionable for Friday. Guard Vince Williams Jr.—who has missed nine of the team’s last 10 games with left knee patellar tendinitis—also carries a questionable tag.

Additional Injury Updates Around the League

Portland Trail Blazers: Guard Jrue Holiday is doubtful for Friday’s matchup with Houston. It is the first time in seven weeks that the six-time All-Defensive selection has been listed as anything other than “out.” Holiday has not played since Nov. 14 due to a right calf strain.

Cleveland Cavaliers: Forward Larry Nance Jr. was upgraded to available for Thursday’s game against Minnesota after missing nearly six weeks with a Grade 1 strain of his right soleus muscle. The team has not indicated when—or if—he will re-enter the regular rotation.

New Orleans Pelicans: Forward Herbert Jones logged 35 minutes Tuesday against the Lakers in his return from a right ankle sprain but did not play Wednesday in Atlanta. He is doubtful for Friday’s contest in Washington with the same injury. Teammate Trey Murphy III is questionable because of lower back spasms.

Los Angeles Clippers: Forward Kawhi Leonard sprained his right ankle during the third quarter of Wednesday’s loss at Madison Square Garden and is listed as questionable for Friday in Brooklyn. Leonard previously missed 10 consecutive games in November with right foot and ankle issues and has appeared in 26 games this season.
