Toronto guard Immanuel Quickley moved closer to returning from right-foot plantar fasciitis after completing three straight days of on-court work, the Raptors said Sunday ahead of their game against Boston. The 26-year-old has missed eight consecutive contests but reported no further discomfort following sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Quickley has appeared in 67 games this season, averaging 16.9 points, 6.0 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 32.4 minutes while shooting 44.5% overall and 37.4% from three-point range. Toronto is 38-29 when he plays and 5-5 during his current absence.

Additional Injury Notes Around the League

Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards was ruled out of Sunday’s matchup with Charlotte due to patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee. Minnesota would clinch a playoff berth with a victory combined with a Phoenix loss to Chicago.

Suns: Head coach Jordan Ott said forward Haywood Highsmith is “trending in the right direction” after aggravating a right knee injury on March 17, though the 29-year-old has not yet resumed on-court activity. Phoenix hopes he can play before the regular season ends; Sunday marked his ninth straight game on the sidelines.

Pelicans: New Orleans will face Orlando on Sunday without Karlo Matkovic (low back spasms), Trey Murphy III (right ankle sprain) and Dejounte Murray. Matkovic is out for the third game in a row, while Murray misses his second. The Pelicans enter the contest on a seven-game skid.

Mavericks: Dallas expects to have two frontcourt players available against the Lakers. P.J. Washington has been cleared after a three-game absence caused by illness, and Marvin Bagley III (left shoulder impingement) is listed as probable. Both players sat out the club’s last three games.
