Sacramento Kings wing Zach LaVine is set to play Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks after a nine-game absence caused by a left ankle sprain. Rookie center Maxime Raynaud, who had a brief injury scare during Friday’s loss to Phoenix, has also been cleared for the matchup. Milwaukee is reportedly among the clubs monitoring LaVine ahead of next month’s trade deadline.

In Los Angeles, Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. will undergo an MRI on Sunday to determine the severity of a right knee injury suffered late in Saturday’s defeat to Boston. The high-flying forward, fouled by Payton Pritchard in the fourth quarter, limped to the locker room after recently returning on Dec. 28 from a sprained MCL in the same knee.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young missed his fourth consecutive game Saturday in Toronto because of a right quad contusion. Boston’s Kristaps Porzingis was also sidelined for the second night of a back-to-back as part of his return-to-competition reconditioning program.

The Chicago Bulls placed big man Jalen Smith in the NBA’s concussion protocol after he took a hard shot to the head during the third quarter of Saturday’s loss to Charlotte. Smith has been ruled out for Monday’s game in Boston. On a more positive note, guard Coby White is listed as questionable for Monday due to right calf injury management and could make his return.
