Phoenix, AZ — Suns guard Jordan Goodwin underwent an MRI on Sunday that revealed a left calf strain, the team confirmed. The injury occurred late in Saturday’s victory over Orlando. No timetable was provided, but calf strains generally sideline players for multiple weeks. Phoenix is already without leading scorers Devin Booker (right hip strain) and Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture).

Goodwin, 27, has appeared in 54 games this season, averaging 8.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 22.4 minutes. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Additional Injury Notes

Milwaukee: Giannis Antetokounmpo took part in a pregame workout before Sunday’s matchup with Toronto. The two-time MVP, sidelined since Jan. 23 with a right calf strain, participated in partial scrimmages—3-on-3 and 4-on-4—during Saturday’s practice, head coach Doc Rivers said. He has not yet played full 5-on-5.

Philadelphia: Joel Embiid missed his fifth straight game on Sunday because of soreness in his right knee and shin. The 76ers entered the contest on a four-game skid without the reigning MVP.

Dallas: Rookie forward Cooper Flagg sat out a third consecutive game at Indiana while recovering from a left midfoot sprain. Head coach Jason Kidd said Flagg “had a good workout” Sunday and will be re-evaluated after Monday’s practice in Indiana, which was scheduled there due to weather in New York.
