Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said Stephen Curry “looked good—he looks like Steph Curry” after the 38-year-old completed another scrimmage Thursday evening, according to The Athletic’s Nick Friedell. Kerr added that the decision on the guard’s availability for Sunday will rest with Curry and director of sports medicine and performance Rick Celebrini, with a determination expected Friday. Curry has been sidelined since late January by patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee.
Tobias Harris
The Detroit Pistons ruled forward Tobias Harris out for the rest of Thursday’s game against Minnesota after he sustained a left knee contusion in the first half. Harris, who has started all 59 games he has played this season, is set to enter unrestricted free agency this summer.
Joel Embiid
Philadelphia listed center Joel Embiid as doubtful for Friday’s meeting with Minnesota because of an illness, reports Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice. Embiid already missed Wednesday’s win over Washington due to the same ailment.
Josh Giddey
Chicago held guard Josh Giddey out of Wednesday’s matchup with Indiana after he experienced tightness in his left hamstring, writes Brian Sandalow of the Chicago Sun-Times. Giddey, who lost 19 games earlier in the season with similar hamstring trouble, is considered day-to-day for the Bulls’ final six contests, head coach Billy Donovan said.
David Jones Garcia
Spurs rookie wing David Jones Garcia, roughly two months removed from season-ending ankle surgery, has stopped using a scooter and is accompanying the team on its current road trip, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News notes. Head coach Mitch Johnson said the 20-year-old remains on track for a full offseason recovery.
