Free-agent guard/forward Talen Horton-Tucker is on the verge of signing with Turkish club Fenerbahce but will delay a final commitment as he continues to look for an acceptable NBA contract, multiple international outlets reported on Monday.

BasketNews.com’s Donatas Urbonas first noted that the 24-year-old has a contract ready with the reigning EuroLeague champions. Eurohoops.net’s Bugra Uzar added that Horton-Tucker expects to choose between Fenerbahce and a potential NBA offer within the next few days.

The Chicago native has spent six seasons in the league since going 46th overall in the 2019 draft. He won an NBA title as a Lakers rookie in 2020, remained in Los Angeles for three years, and was dealt to Utah during the 2022 offseason. Unable to secure a guaranteed agreement last summer, he accepted a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal with his hometown Bulls in September 2024.

Horton-Tucker became the only Exhibit 10 signee league-wide to earn a spot on an opening-night roster last season, and Chicago later guaranteed his contract beyond the January cut-down date. Working exclusively off the bench, he appeared in 58 games and averaged 6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 12.5 minutes, shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from three. For his career, he owns averages of 9.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists across 305 games.

Should he complete the move to Turkey, Horton-Tucker would join a Fenerbahce squad already featuring several former NBA players, including Brandon Boston Jr.
