The Charlotte Hornets have reached an agreement to acquire guard Tyus Jones from the Orlando Magic, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Charlotte will take on Jones’ $7 million contract and, in return, receive two future second-round selections, Charania reported. ESPN’s Bobby Marks added that the picks will be the less favorable of the Boston Celtics’ or Magic’s 2027 second-rounder, along with Orlando’s own 2028 second-rounder.
The move increases the Hornets’ draft stockpile to 11 first-round picks and 14 second-round picks over the next seven years.
