Heat’s Pelle Larsson Sidelined 1–2 Weeks With Left Ankle Sprain

MIAMI, Dec. 10, 2025 — The Miami Heat expect swingman Pelle Larsson to be out for approximately one to two weeks after an MRI confirmed a sprain in his left ankle, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

Larsson, 24, underwent imaging on Wednesday, one day after injuring the ankle. Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported that the scan showed no structural damage beyond the sprain, and the second-year pro’s return will depend on how the ankle responds to treatment.

The former second-round pick has appeared in 24 games this season, starting 16, and is averaging 8.7 points, 3.2 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per contest. His playing time has dipped when both Tyler Herro and Norman Powell are available, but Miami could look to Simone Fontecchio or Keshad Johnson for extra minutes if either regular wing misses time during Larsson’s absence.

Miami’s schedule could limit the number of games Larsson misses. After being eliminated from the NBA Cup on Tuesday, the Heat play only once in the next week — Monday against Toronto — before a back-to-back in Brooklyn and Boston next Thursday and Friday.
